San Roque Golf Club on the Costa del Sol

The San Roque Golf Club offers one of the finest rounds of golf in Spain

For serious golfers, we suggest that you check out the old golf course at San Roque on the Costa del Sol. While San Roque may be one of the more expensive golf courses in the area, it’s worth a visit due to its high quality, location, design and superb surroundings.

Yes it maybe  pricey, but you get what you pay for at the San Roque Golf Resort as the golf here is second to none.

The old golf course offers a rather impressive standard of carefully maintained fairways. As well, most visitors comment on the extremely well-designed and greens that seem to accentuate their location.

The courses surrounded by lots of natural environment featuring the native cork trees that hide what little housing development is situated in the vicinity. The old course has some excellent long par fours with fast played well kept greens. The first nine holes are rather compact while the second half of the course tends to be a bit more spacious with several holes having challenging water hazards.

The new golf course that has more recently been built at San Roque is reported as being considered less demanding at the beginning but increases in difficulty as the course ventures on.  Most players prefer to play the new course first and then round off the day by  playing the older course last.

If your budget allows some leeway then perhaps San Roque is the place for you.

Many PGA Tour qualifying rounds are held on the grounds and the course offers several other amenities such as a beverage wagon that comes around periodically, modern and stylish changing rooms and other on site facilities add great value to this impressive golf resort.

Golf packages which include the San Roque golf courses are readily available and easy to book.
